Everyone, this is Janae. I hate to start with apologizing but I am embarrassed and this is getting harder for me. Let me get you up to date on my health. I went back over to Seattle and learned that the gamma knife had helped. 5 had gotten smaller and the other eight had stayed the same. None had grown and there was no new ones; The doctor and us were thrilled. They said they usually get worse the first time. I've been home for 3 months having chemo one week out of 4 and scans on my organs to see if we can find where it is coming from in my body. I have a scan on Friday and lab work always, it seems, gives my stomach a lot of trouble. I am working hard at this. I couldn't do it without Calvin.

"As I have loved you, love one another.
This new commandment, love one another.
By this shall man know ye are my disciples
If ye have love one to another."

You are all loved by me. Be good people. Thanks for your thoughts, prayers and cards.
Happy new year!

  4. Janae,
You are so amazing! I'm sure if I were in your shoes, the last thing I'd be worrying about would be updates on a blog. I've been wanting to write to you to let you know what an inspiration you are to all of us. I was so impressed by your testimony last month, just before we heard about your families "other" difficulties. You were so positive and found so much in your life to be grateful for, and, knowing what you all are going through, that is a powerful example to all of us. We pray for you and your family every day.
    Love,

P.S. Rachel felt bad that she didn't get to see you when we came caroling or at church, but she understood. She wants you to know she loves you!

  5. Janae,

I'm so glad you all had a nice Christmas, in spite of the flu ;), and the pictures the girls have posted showed everyone laughing and enjoying being together!
Of course, Bergen keeps me updated....which is great. Hang in there with the nausea.....and don't worry about blogging....it's great when you do, and understandable when you don't.
    Lot's of love!

p.s. So, yesterday was your first baby's 30th birthday. What an amazing thing. I just can't imagine, and I'm sure 30 years ago you couldn't either. Hope everyone had a nice time.

  6. Glad to have the update. I just spoke with Stacia on Sunday and asked about you. Sorry the chemo is so rough, but happy to hear of progress with all this treatment stuff. You really are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Keep up the good fight, it's tough but worth it so we hear. You have some wonderful things to look forward to in the real near future with two weddings to prepare for. Love you girl...

  7. Thank you for the update! I was just at Camilla's house playin and singin that beautiful primary song for her, son, daughter, son in law, grand-daughter/son. I made them sing it with me and the Holy Spirit poured into the room. Her house on Vashon Island overlooks the PS with a view of Mt. Hood. She wishes you well as I mentioned your Christmas CD she has. She really appreciates your excellent musicianship as I do! Just keep transferring your musical expertise into healing thyself! I know you are amazing like that! When do you get a vacation from the chemo? You deserve one or at least should look forward to one..yah!
Super hugs from a college bound senior citizen!
